About Devbagh Beach Resort

Devbagh Beach resort is on an "island" and is approachable by boat, making it a tranquil and panoramic getaway for a perfect and quiet holiday. The entire island is covered with thick casuarinas grove. The un spoilt and ivory beaches beckon you. This resort is hardly 22 kms. south of Goa border, and is located off Karwar, in Karnataka, India. The USP of this place is that it is totally private, and the guests are free from various types of touts, etc.

Devbagh is where Rabindranath Tagore, in 1882, i.e., 118 years ago, while staying with his brother, Satyendranath Tagore, ICS (District Judge, Karwar), inspired by the beauty of Devbagh, wrote his first poem "Prakritir Pratishoota". This could be a place of inspiration for you too.

Our guests have all the time in the world to walk around, laze under casuarinas grove, lie in hammocks to read books, play beach volleyball, or just take a swim in the waters. You can enjoy water sports in the creek.
