About Hotel Laxmi Vilas Palace
Set amidst the sprawling 50 acres, and surrounded by undulating, yellow mustard fields, the Laxmi Vilas Palace was built for Raja Ragunath Singh.
It is the first among the Rajasthani heritage hotels in India if you move on the triangle that starts from Delhi and terminates there via Agra, the city of Taj and Jaipur. Bharatpur like Mathura and Vrindavan is the very heart of Brij culture where the guest is treated out with personalised service with loving care. Finely carved antique furniture, beautiful religious paintings, photographs of old Princeton's and rulers decorate the rooms. Facts mix up with fiction, legendary romance of the past meets into modern amenities and comforts.

Dining at the Laxmi Vilas - an experience divine and delectable!
We have often been complimented for providing a wide variety of choicest cuisine to the palace guests. This however is only part of picture. Personal supervision and attention of the family ensures that the highest standards of hygiene are met in the palace kitchen. Nothing but only farm-fresh vegetables from the Palace goes into preparing meals. And if you wondered why the cottage cheese tasted so mouthwateringly different, remember it came from our own dairy.
Accommodation
Laxmi Vilas Palace offers 25 well-appointed suites to its guests. At the Laxmi Vilas Palace, Heritage hospitality goes beyond the narrow parameters of well-appointed rooms, period décor, antique furniture and the best of creature comforts. The style is equally distinguished by homely warmth, personnel involvement, and unfailing attention to various intangibles that define the rich and varied heritage of Rajasthan in general and Bharatpur in particular.
Recreation
Hotel Laxmi Vilas Palace offers Camel Ride, Jeep safari to the villages, Buggy Ride, Village Exursion, Theme Dinners, and Swimming Pool to its guests.
Conference and banquet Facilities
For almost hundred years, the Laxmi Vilas Palace has been a prime witness to, and a participant in almost every eventful happening that took place in the princely state of Bharatpur - royal weddings, affairs of the court and royal duck shoots. It has played host to such dignitaries as the Duke of Edinburgh, Shah of Iran, King of Nepal and Shah of Afghan. There was of course enough to entertain those who entered the portals of the palace. Feast and festivities lasted several days. And the palace kitchen ensured that only gourmet cuisine arrived at the dinning table.
The same tradition of the hospitality has been kept alive till the present day. In 1994, a decision was taken to convert the Palace into the hotel. The Laxmi Vilas Palace has been operational ever since.
