About Bannerghatta Nature Camp

Banneraghatta, on the outskirts of Bangalore, offers you all the sights, sounds and action of 25,000 acres of carefully preserved jungle. In the eco-proactive spirit of Jungle Lodges, here is where Karnataka Forest Department rehabilitated lions and tigers rescued from circuses (the largest number in India). They live in the kraals that recreate their natural habitats, apart from them; this is also India's first Lion and Tiger Safari, a major tourist draw. It is an ideal place for school children to be molded into future naturalists.

Hotel Specifications

Recreation & Health

You could also wander through the Zoological Garden, with its canopy of shady and sturdy trees, find a quiet resting spot beside a pond and watch waterfowl frolic. The zoo boasts an amazing reptile collection; a snake park lets you get up close and personal with the scaly, slithery creatures. A children's corner provides an added attraction. Trekking enthusiasts will enjoy Uddigebande (3.5 kms.) a natural rock formation called Hajjamana Kallu (3 kms.) and Mirza Hill (1.5 kms.). Eco-safaris in jeep with a Naturalist/Bird watcher Guide-escort are added attractions at the camp. The nature camp is a strategic corridor for pachyderms traversing the Western Ghats.
